The best-known concerto by Giovanni Bottesini, and a standard in the double bass solo literature. Transcribed from the original autograph (which was in C minor), this edition by Rodney Slatford, with piano reduction by Clive Pollard, is for the bass in orchestra tuning. Editor's notes remark the bass part uses treble and bass clef (without the use of tenor clef). Hurray! So much easier to read. Three movements: Moderato, Andante and an Allegro finale. Yorke Edition, published 1982. Inlcudes the double bass solo part and piano accompaniment. See our other items for a full score and complete set of string parts of the accompaniment!
